Echo is the newest character of the Overwatch roster and will be Hero number 32 for the popular first-person shooter. There is no doubt that plenty of players are excited about the release date of Echo, as they will be able to utilize the robotic AI to help them achieve victory in battle with her powerful abilities. Fortunately, we have all of the currently known information about the release date for Hero 32 covered for you.
Overwatch Echo Release Date
Blizzard has not yet officially announced a release date for the new character. However, new heroes are usually released somewhat soon after they are made available on the Public Test Realm (PTR) server. Now, Blizzard has not yet announced the release date for Echo on the PTR server, but the first look at the gameplay of the hero is taking place on March 19th. It would not be shocking to see the character make her way onto the PTR server following the completion of the first-look of her the hero’s gameplay on March 19th.
We will update this piece with any new information regarding the release date of Hero 32 when it is officially made available.
Not much is currently known about Echo. Her backstory consists of being an AI and robotic copy of Dr. Mina Liao, who was a scientist that helped to create the Omnics and was then recruited by Solider 76 to help defeat them when they went on their rampage in the Omnic War. However, she met an untimely demise when her lab was attacked and lives on in her creation.
