Nioh 2 Amrita Gauge – How Does This Work?

So, you want to be the best samurai that ever walked the land? Easy. Okay, not technically easy since Nioh 2 boasts some amazing Soulslike combat (and of course, we all know what that means – you’re going to get your butt kicked) and we still think that the best way to be formidable is to min-max. Speaking of min-maxing, if you’re wanting to really get on top of things then you should be well acquainted with how weapon scaling works in the game. If that’s a mystery to you still, then check out this handy guide that we’ve relinked here for your convenience

Alright. Weapons aside, we were talking about the Amrita gauge. This is something that’s prominent on the Nioh 2 HUD, and essentially it’s shown in the form of the Guardian Spirit icon which sits pretty next to your HP and your Ki bars. When you’re grabbing experience, whether its killing enemies or just bashing about some pots, you’re going to get Amrita. The icon will light up when your Amrita gauge is full, which will then let you use a Living Weapon. Honestly, that’s the coolest part about it – drawing on the essence of your Guardian Spirit and absolutely beating the living Hell out of whatever is trying to stare you down. Nifty! Essentially, all you have to do is interact with the game world by doing literally anything that results in some kind of damage, property or bodily, and your gauge will fill over time.

Now that you have a better idea of how the Nioh 2 Amrita gauge works thanks to our guide, it should be easier for you to pull off Living Weapon combos and to really deal with the enemies in Nioh in the way that they deserve. If you need a hand with anything else in Nioh 2, or just want some reaffirmation that you’re being a good samurai, why not check out the variety of tips and tricks in that we’ve put together for players like you in our dedicated guides hub for the game?
