Nigredo Witcher 3 Ingredient – How to Craft, How to Use

Nigredo has been a valuable alchemical ingredient in previous titles in the Witcher series, and we reckon it’s pretty indispensable since smart Witchers will be able to craft things ranging from enhanced Dimeritium bombs to upgrades to existing weapons that will make you twice as deadly. If you’re someone who’s facing down a ton of magic-using foes, then Nigredo will be nigh impossible to go past if you’re wanting to be fully-equipped for whatever may come your way.

In the Witcher 3, however, you aren’t able to just find this ingredient in the wild. You’re going to have to craft it. To do so, you’ll need the following ingredients and your own Witcher ingenuity:

  • Balisse fruit
  • Crow’s eye
  • Han fiber
  • Hellebore petals
  • Hornwort
  • White gull

Mixing all of those together will give you a pinch of Nigredo, which you can then use in any number of recipes. As mentioned, it’s handy if you want to make some bombs and other things that go pop and wound others in the night, but here are some things that you need Nigredo to craft:

  • Black armor dye
  • Legendary Ursine silver sword (enhanced)
  • Superior dancing star
  • Superior dimeritium bomb
  • Superior grapeshot
  • Superior moon dust
  • Superior relict oil
  • Ursine silver sword (enhanced)

Now that you’ve got a better idea of how to craft the Nigredo Witcher 3 ingredient and also how to use it in recipes, it should be a walk in the park to actually whip some up for all your alchemical needs.
