Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is a massive expansion for Monster Hunter Rise filled to the brim with new monsters, locales, armor, and more. Nintendo is offering a free demo of the expansion that lets you take on a few new monsters, including the flagship Malzeno. If you’re having trouble finding the demo, don’t worry, a lot of people are. Here is how to download the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak demo on Nintendo Switch.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak – How to Download The Demo

After a lot of confusion, the Monster Hunter official Twitter had to clarify how players can actually find the demo on the Nintendo eShop. In order to actually download the Monster Hunter Rise; Sunbreak demo, you need to go to the base Monster Hunter Rise store page, not the expansion page.

From there, you need to hit “download demo,” which will then prompt you with which one you would like to download.

Now, you want to select the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak demo, and it will begin downloading.

It certainly is confusing and makes no real sense. So if you’re been having trouble, we don’t blame you. Once you’ve got it installed, there is plenty to check out; fights against some of the new monsters, and even the old Jungle locale from Monster Hunter 2 is here.

Remember in order to access Sunbreak when it launches, you will need to have completed the 7-star hub quests. Without doing this, you’ll need to play more of the base game to get into Sunbreak properly.
