The Dual Blades are one of the fastest weapons in Monster Hunter Rise but require a few key things in order to thrive with them. Here’s our guide for getting started with the Dual Blades in Monster Hunter Rise./p>
Monster Hunter Rise | Dual Blades Guide
The Dual Blades are a relatively simple weapon compared to other weapons in the game. There are no real management systems outside of your stamina.
The main bread and butter of this weapon is activating Demon Mode, which can be done by hitting ZR and landing the X+A, X+A, X+A combo to fill up the red meter underneath your health bar.
This will trigger archdemon mode, which allows you to do more powerful versions of your basic attacks when not in Demon mode.
One other important thing to note about Demon Mode is that you will move faster with your weapons out and you will be immune to knockback damage.
You’ll also need to keep an eye on your weapon sharpness. Since the Dual Blades attack very fast, their sharpness decreases quicker than other weapons.
Silkbind
The Dual Blades have two Silkbind attacks.
The first is called Piercing Bind, which is performed by hitting ZL+X. This throws a Kunai into the monster which will explode after a short amount of time. The more damage you do to the monster while it has to Kunai stuck in it, the more the Kunai will do when it explodes.
The second Silkbind move is called Shrouded Vault, which is performed by hitting ZL+A. This move will vault your forward and make you immune to an incoming attack. If hit during this animation you will automatically counterattack.
- X = Double Slash
- A = Lunging Strike
- X+A = Blade Dance (Demon mode)
- ZR = Demon Mode Activate/Deactivate
- ZL+X = Piercing bind
- ZL+A = Shrouded Vault
