We’ve already had one beta testing period for Marvel’s Avengers, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics’ soon to release multiplayer action-RPG based on, well, the property it’s named after. The previous beta, which had matchmaking issues we hope are resolved now, was a PS4-only beta. This weekend’s beta will be open on PS4, and pre-order exclusive for Xbox One and PC. And since the PC version is included, that means Crystal Dynamics had to spill the beans on system requirements.
What are the Marvel’s Avengers PC System Requirements?
It looks like the PC version of Marvel’s Avengers is pretty tricked out, as there’s an additional feature set Crystal Dynamics revealed along with the raw system requirements data. The biggest feature, which will also be available during the beta, is an optional high-resolution texture pack. This is an additional 30GB of data you’ll have to download, but if your system is good for it you’ll considerably boost the game’s visual fidelity.

This version also has optimization for multi-monitor setups, as well as support for ultra-wide displays – Marvel’s Avengers will look impressive no matter how unique your setup is. That includes an unlocked framerate option for players using 144hz-capable equipment. And in terms of controls, the keyboard and mouse input is fully configurable, and Marvel’s Avengers also supports swapping between that and controllers, which also support configuration.
With all the fancy stuff out of the way, let’s check out the minimum and recommended specifications for actually getting this thing running on your PC. Here’s what you’ll need and/or want:
Minimum Spec:
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: i3-4160 or AMD equivalent
- 8GB RAM
- NVIDIA GTX 950 / AMD 270 (min 2GB video ram)
- DirectX 12

It looks like the beta’s available content matches the previous PS4-only test, allowing players to try out Hulk, Kamala, Black Widow, and Iron Man up to Hero Level 15/Power Level 45. While this will be the same content for PS4 players coming back, progress will be maintained throughout the beta weekends. That said, everyone will have to start over once Marvel’s Avengers officially launches.
