What Are Challenge Moons in Lethal Company?

Challenge Moons is a weekly game type added in Lethal Company v47 that allows you to play on a randomized moon. However, the weekly moon seed is available for everyone, with your end-of-day profit available on a leaderboard, letting you compare your stats with others and work together to determine how to get the most money in one in-game day.

If you want to begin playing this yourself, head into your save menu and select the Challenge Moon below your files. Doing this will spawn you into your ship, allowing you to begin your new day on this weekly map.

Many weekly Challenge Moon traits are randomized, including increased scrap, random starting credits, and other modified features. However, some aspects, such as scrap item spawn locations, inverse teleporter destinations, and gift box contents, are determined by the moon’s seed so that RNG doesn’t heavily influence your success.

Generally speaking, Challenge Moons are more difficult than typical maps, with opportunities to develop strategies as you replay them, learn various patterns, and figure out routes for obtaining scrap. You can repeat it as many times as you’d like while it’s active, allowing you to find out what is random, what’s predetermined, and how to use this knowledge to your advantage.

When Do Challenge Moons Change in Lethal Company?

While the exact change time for Challenge Moons is unknown, they’ll likely change every Monday, as this was when Zeekerss introduced the first one to the game in version 47. You’ll know a new Challenge Moon is available when the current one disappears, replaced with a new moon in your save file menu.

We’ll continue to update this with exact rotation times as more moons are introduced.
