The last event in League of Legends, Spirit Blossom, was a pretty big deal! It did a lot with a little, adding tons of new content, and a visual novel-like storytelling feature that was unique to that event. Now the follow-up is out, and it moves the League of Legends fanbase from a more Japanese folklore setting to some science fiction espionage. THe new event is called PsyOps, and it revolves around something called Operation: Songbird.

While the event is already underway as of September 3, 2020, only some of the relevant content is available. The additional skins, 11 in total, are being split up between patch 10.18 and the upcoming 10.19. Part of that is because the skin set includes one for Samira, the walking Devil May Cry reference we covered earlier this week. Here’s a list of all the champions getting event skins:

  • Sona
  • Vi
  • Shen
  • Master Yi
  • Ezreal
  • Kayle
  • Pyke
  • Viktor
  • Zed
  • Samira

Each of the skins will cost 1350 RP, except for Ezreal’s and Sona’s (1820 RP). This is a Prestige skin that you can get through earning points in the event, making it available in the event shop. It’ll set you back 2000 PsyOps points, or 100 Prestige points if you have those.

Like any other big League of Legends event, there’s a purchasable event Pass that costs 1650 RP (around ten bucks), and unlocks all the event bonuses and gives you a head start on the event’s relevant currency. You won’t be able to do everything PsyOps has to offer without the pass. And speaking of the pass, there’s the usual list of missions and rewards, which you can check out below:
