It’s becoming more common for games to have errors when they launch, and Last Epoch is not immune. Players today have found themselves in large queues when attempting to play, which do not seem to be moving. Fortunately, there is a solution, albeit a temporary one.
How to Skip the Queue in Last Epoch
Players are finding themselves in queues of up to 65,000 players, and these queues do not seem to be moving at all. In fact, it seems likely that this is a server-side error that is preventing players from logging in and enjoying the game at all.
There is a temporary workaround to this problem that will allow you to log in and play the game. It involves changing your own region to a less congested region, such as a region that has the opposite time zone to you with fewer people concurrently trying to log in. Players have seen success with this method, but of course, the result is that it will increase congestion on the other server when more people attempt to log in that way. But, it’s a temporary workaround until the developers can fix the issue all the same.
How to Change Your Server in Last Epoch
- Boot up Last Epoch.
- From the menu, change your region. Depending on the time of day, you may have to rotate through a few options until you find a less congested server.
- Start the game.
- Close and boot up Last Epoch.
- The new server should be your default server now and you will be able to log in if there is no queue.
Once you have successfully logged in, you can change your region back to your correct region in-game in Settings to avoid any potential latency issues.
Hopefully, the developers will fix the queueing issues, but in the meantime, hopping between servers is your best bet to being able to access and play Last Epoch. If you do manage to log in, you may still potentially be stuck with an issue with connecting, but we have a fix for that too.
