Cyberpunk 2077 recently debuted its colossal 2.0 update, changing a ton of the game’s systems while fixing many issues that plagued it prior. Some parts of the update are fairly minor, while others change the entire experience. If you only care about the bigger stuff, then I’ve got a nice roundup for you. Here are all the key changes in the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update.
Biggest Changes in the 2.0 Update for Cyberpunk 2077
There are a few big changes with Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.0 update that are worth discussing. While there are a ton more things that have been changed, these are the biggest ones to keep in mind.
Refreshed Police System
While the police of Night City were a laughing stock before, the 2.0 update makes it clear that the armed force is a threat to be reckoned with. Cops will now be far more reactive when you commit crimes, chasing you down and going as far as sending their elite MaxTac forces after you. You might want to be a little more careful when committing crime now.
Vehicle Combat
Whenever you’re in a vehicle now, you can shoot from either first or third person to deal with your pursuers. This goes hand in hand with the cop system seeing a refresh, as you can now engage in high-speed chases while gunfire whizzes past.
Perk Tree Overhaul
Perks have been completely revamped with the latest update, now offering fewer Perks with each having a more significant impact on gameplay. One great example of these Perks is the Dash ability, which I’ve found myself using frequently to close gaps or quickly get to cover during combat. It also makes for a great traversal tool when I don’t feel like sprinting everywhere.
Cyberware/Clothing Rework
Cyberware and clothing have both seen major changes with the latest patch. Clothing only rarely provides any stat boosts now, so you have far more freedom in how you choose to dress V up. The stats there have been moved to Cyberware, giving more incentive to turn into a killing machine of metal and flesh.
New Radio Stations
While maybe not as big as the other entries on this list, it’s worth mentioning that some new radio stations have entered the fray. Alongside all radio stations already present in the game, you now have access to 89.7 Growl FM, Impulse 99.9, and 107.5 Dark Star. Each has its own unique genre, so give them a taste the next time you jump in a car.
