The long-awaited Diablo IV is coming out very soon! Many players who are eagerly waiting for the sequel to the legendary hack-and-slash action RPG are counting the days until the release, and if you want to place a pre-order and express your fanaticism towards Diablo by getting the more expensive versions, Blizzard’s got you! So, is the Diablo 4 Ultimate Edition worth it?
Should You Get the Diablo 4 Ultimate Edition?
Diablo IV will be released on June 6, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows in three different editions:
- Diablo IV Standard Edition: $69.99
- Diablo IV Deluxe Edition: $89.99
- Diablo IV Ultimate Edition: $99.99
Coming in at just $10 more than the Digital Deluxe Edition, the Ultimate Edition of Diablo IV will cost almost a solid $100 – what exactly does it bring for that price and whether it is worth getting, we will try to solve it and give our opinion on the matter.
What is in Diablo 4 Ultimate Editon?
The Ultimate Edition of Diablo IV comes with all the content and bonuses that come with the Standard and Deluxe versions – which includes the base game, as well as an extra mount (Light-Bearer Mount) and a couple of cosmetic mount armor items (Caparison of Faith Mount Armor). There is also access to the game four days earlier, as early as June 1.

Also, if you play other Blizzard games such as Diablo 3, Diablo Immortal, or World of Warcraft – you will get a couple of bonus items in them as well. There is also a Premium Battle Pass, a Season Pass of sorts, that will save you the $10 needed to unlock premium tracks that unlock additional cosmetics in the game each month, as you progress through the game.
Ok, so everything mentioned above comes with the Deluxe version, what else does the Ultimate Edition bring? Although it bears the name “Ultimate” and you would expect that to mean a bunch of unique bonuses, in fact, this version brings only two things that differentiate it from the Deluxe Edition:
- Wings of the Creator emote (Gives your character wings like Tyreal’s and the ability to levitate in place like an angel)
- Battle Pass Accelerated unlock (Skips 20 tiers on the Battle Pass instantly, this boost itself is priced at $25 if you want to get it outside of Ultimate Edition)

Is the Diablo 4 Ultimate Edition Worth It?
So is this worth $10 more? Well, math says it is, but only if you want to skip tiers in Battle Pass as fast as possible, and if you dig that one unique emote. Just keep in mind that Deluxe and Ultimate versions of Diablo IV are all digital-only, so there are no physical bonuses, for that you need to get Diablo IV: Limited Collector’s Box which contains collector items, but not the game itself!
