Can You Buy A Stephen Hawking Skin in Fortnite?
While the video being passed around on social media does look rather convincing, there is no Stephen Hawking skin available to purchase in Fortnite, and there will never be a Stephen Hawking skin available to purchase in the game. Much like the Glenn Quagmire rumor that was swirling around the internet earlier this month, people just like creating skin concepts that will likely not see the light of day.
As you may be able to see from some of the cosmetic choices that come alongside this “premium skin,” it’s aiming for a laugh more than anything serious. Plus, it’s highly unlikely that the family of the famed theoretical physicist would allow his likeness to be used in the world of Fortnite. There are also a few other questions that would need to be answered about how a character like Stephen Hawking would work in Fortnite, but it’s something we would not need to worry about at this point.
There are plenty of meme skins available in the game, from the Stonks skin to the Peter Griffin collection that is available in the Battle Pass, but something like this was created likely for the shock value and laughs more than anything.
