Is Shredder Coming to COD MW2 and Warzone 2?

The first MW2 crossover skin?

Though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have been out for months at this point, the bundles store has been lacking, especially for crossovers. In the past, characters like Terminator or Rambo have appeared in the store, and now it might be time for Shredder to make his own debut.

Through a surprise tweet on the Call of Duty Twitter account, there seems to be a crossover event on the way in COD MW2 Season 2. Of course, that includes Warzone 2 as well, and in this article, we’ll discuss whether the new teaser is Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and when the skin will release.

COD MW2 and Warzone 2 – Shredder Operator Release Date

No official confirmations have been made about a crossover event just yet. However, the latest teaser from Call of Duty is almost certainly Shredder from TMNT. Not only does the short clip display all of the classic armor from the villain, but we can see the entire silhouette and two swords that appear to be the Kodachis from the Season 2 Battle Pass.

It was only a matter of time before a crossover was set to happen in COD MW2 and Warzone 2. Having Shredder as the first crossover Operator skin is one of the best options for the current seasonal theme, which is based on Samurai along with Ashika Island in the Warzone modes.

The release date for the skin is just around the corner as well. According to the teaser, players can expect to get their hands on Shredder as soon as March 21, 2023. No details around pricing have been confirmed yet, but the MW2 and Warzone 2 bundle will likely be at least 2,400 COD Points.
