We’re only days away from the launch of Octopath Traveler II as of this writing, and all the JRPG sickos out there are foaming at the mouth for it. I mean, just check out our review for several reasons why. This banger of an old school-flavored adventure is top shelf stuff, so it’s only natural Xbox Game Pass subscribers are eagerly awaiting its presence. After all, the first game is available on Microsoft’s subscription service (albeit not much longer). So is Octopath Traveler II on Xbox Game Pass?
Is Octopath Traveler II on Xbox Game Pass? – Answered
No. Now get off my lawn, you damn kids! Octopath Traveler II won’t be on Xbox Game Pass, at least at launch. In fact, it won’t be on Xbox at all when the game drops on February 24, 2023. There’s a PC version, but for now it’s only available via Steam. It is coming to PlayStation this time though, which we still can’t say for the first game. What a mess!

That said, you can probably expect it to show up there sometime down the road. Square Enix is a major supporter of Game Pass, and many of its big games have spent time on the service. Most Square Enix titles are only available for a limited time, as we see with the first Octopath Traveler’s upcoming delisting on March 1.
If you only have Xbox or are determined to not play Octopath Traveler II on any other platform, just keep your ears to the ground. Microsoft is all about boasting whenever new games are added to the Game Pass lineup, so as long as you pay attention to the usual spots on social media and the like, you’ll know if and when Octopath Traveler II is ready to show up. You might be waiting for a hot minute, though.
