Is Kodak Black in GTA 6? – Answered

Is it the man himself?

The first GTA 6 trailer managed to break the internet, as was expected with so many easter eggs and references to our contemporary world. At a point, we could catch a glimpse of what seemed to be the rapper Kodak Black, but is he actually in the game?

At around the 30-second mark, we can spot a figure that undeniably evokes the image of Kodak Black himself. He dresses like a rapper and seems to boast golden teeth just like Kodak had a few years ago. The hairstyle is also quite similar, as well as the placement of some of his tattoos. It could be a stretch, but some of his expressions resemble the real-life rapper too.

But despite the likeness, there’s no way to say for certain that this man’s Kodak Black. That rapper guy could be inspired by him, at the very least, and that wouldn’t be anything new in the series. GTA San Andreas was infamous for having many random NPC lookalikes of some famous 90s celebrities such as Kurt Cobain or LL Cool J, for example.

Kodak might still be lending his voice to this new character in the title. Rockstar’s been trying to keep everything about GTA 6 locked in their secret vault, but it’ll eventually be open to the public and that’s inevitable.

And it would be nice to have the first celebrity confirmed for the game. Again, having actual celebrities isn’t nothing new for the series either. The most recent example is Dr. Dre playing himself in the GTA Online DLCs, but it hasn’t happened for a long time now.

Just like the Lucia VA situation, we can’t be sure just yet about Kodak Black’s presence, but Rockstar rarely fails to deliver when it comes to casting. Having celebrities is also a good way to market their game, even when it’s something like GTA 6 which doesn’t really need that.
