Is Children of the Sun on the Xbox Game Pass?

Ready, aim..

Children of the Sun is the latest release from Devolver Digital, but Xbox Game Pass subscribers may be wondering if it’s possible to access the new third-person puzzle shooter. In the past, games from Devolver Digital have been added to Xbox’s subscription service, but is that the case this time around?

Will Children of the Sun be Available on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Children of the Sun is not available on Xbox Game Pass.

A third-party title is added to the Xbox Game Pass based on negotiations between Xbox and a developer. Such deals have witnessed several games being added to the subscription, even as day-one additions. The same has been applicable in the past for titles like Weird West, which is also present on the PlayStation Plus lineup.

However, Children of the Sun’s absence is perhaps due to its absence on Xbox consoles.

Is Children of the Sun on Xbox?

So far, there are no plans from Devolver Digital to release the game on consoles. The latest launch is a PC exclusive and available on Steam. It releases worldwide on April 9, and a demo is also available for free. Unfortunately, it’s not clear as to why there won’t be any release on consoles.

The same also applies to the PlayStation console as well. This could change in the future if a console port is developed. For now, only PC players will be able to enjoy the game, but a full purchase on Steam is necessary.

From the outset, Children of the Sun seems to have an interesting concept, with a touch of many genres. Players take the role of eliminating a cult and all its members to reach the final boss. This is easier said than done, but players will be able to adopt different strategies to get the job done. This also promises replayability as every mission can be executed in different ways.

Weird West was a surprise hit from Devolver Digital, and it will be interesting to find out if Children of the Sun could turn out to be the best video game release in April.
