You might be wondering if you can get Alan Wake 2 physically on a disc and not digitally. Here’s whether Alan Wake 2 is getting a physical copy.

Can You Get a Physical Alan Wake 2 Version?

Sadly for you game preservationists out there, you can’t purchase a physical copy of Alan Wake 2. This was done to reduce to price of the game for fans, so it’ll cost $50 to get the base version of the game instead of the usual $70. Alternatively, you can also get the Deluxe Edition for $70 and get a few in-game bonuses, all while paying the same amount of money.

While it is a bonus for wallets, it’s a shame to see the game not come to physical on release. If the game is ever taken off storefronts for one reason or another, it’ll no longer be possible to buy. When something like the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S is no longer being made in the distant future, it’ll be troublesome to play it, too.

Will Alan Wake 2 Ever Get a Physical Edition?

Alan Wake 2 could get a disc release down the line. If there are enough people wanting it, then it’s possible Remedy could release it in the future. With that being said, Remedy has not confirmed or denied plans for a physical launch down the line. We’ll just have to wait and hope.

However, there might be some good news on the horizon. Company THQ Nordic tweeted back in May 25, 2023, that it had keen interest in making a physical version for Alan Wake 2. THQ Nordic was the ones who made the disc version for the original Alan Wake game. Though nothing is confirmed for now, they could come back to do the sequel.
