How to Unlock All Limit Breaks In Final Fantasy VII: Remake

For those that may not know, Limit Breaks are the most powerful of abilities and can only be used once that Limit Bar is completely filled. Each playable character in the Final Fantasy VII: Remake has their own Limit Break with the option to unlock more to add to their combat arsenal. For those looking to get every Limit Break available, there are a few things you should know first.

Level 2 Limit Breaks

There are only two levels regarding Limit Breaks, the initial feature that players will come into the game with once the intro requirements are met, and then a second level that will offer each playable character a different option when approaching battle. This guide will give you exactly what you need to know when looking to unlock that Level 2 status.

For the how and where regarding level 2 Limit Breaks, you’re going to need to make it to Chapter 9 and you need to be comfy with doing side quests. Mainlining just the story cuts out a lot of content, meaning options to increase that Limit Break arsenal can disappear entirely. Before that chapter, players are locked into using only one Limit Break per character. Once Chapter 9 is attained, players will be introduced the Corneo Colosseum, a newly introduced area with the remake that is inside Don Corneo’s mansion.

Wrapping up the main narrative of Chapter 9, players will be given the option to continue taking on foes in the Colosseum and it’s with these additional fights that a true bounty lies. Take on these one-on-one fights, and winning, will reward fighters with the Level 2 Limit Break option, making the Limit Breaks feature interchangeable.

And there you have it! Showing off those combat skills in the remake is a key way to hone that craft while also unlocking all Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy VII: Remake. Need a little additional help?
