While traversing through the world of Remnant 2, you’ll come across many items where their uses aren’t the most obvious thing in the world. When you do find the reason to use them though, their reward is ever so sweet. Take a doll you can get randomly in Losomn, which later provides you with a free melee weapon that feels great. In the case of Yaesha though, there’s an item that can prove useful if you know how to use it. Here’s how to use the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2.

How Do You Use the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2?

The Thaen Seed has two purposes, depending on what you want. The first option is to take it to the Empress, who will pacify all future Pan Warriors when given the seed. You’ll also get a ring that decreases Skill cooldowns which is nice. However, this isn’t the greatest reward given how specific some of its bonuses are.

That’s where your second option comes in and is arguably the one you should always take. With the Thaen Seed in hand, head to Ward 13 and toward the farms in the back of the location. There you’ll find a dugout spot where you can place something. You’ll want to put the Thaen Seed there, then continue progressing through the game. The seed will slowly begin to grow, before becoming a full Thaen Tree that can produce Mature Thaen Fruit. Eating one of these prevents a death blow from killing you, so is naturally super helpful.

How Do I Get the Thaen Seed?

If you don’t already have a Thaen Seed, then there’s a decently simple way to get it. We aren’t going to go into immense detail about how to get it here as we have an article below, but we will cover the short version. In essence, you want to get an Ornate Key from a dead body in the Widow’s Court section of Yaesha. From there, head to the underground and find a fake wall leading to an elevator, which you can take to find the Ornate Box. Inspect it and use the key to get the Thaen Seed.
