The Sims 4: High School Years introduced various ways for your Sims to gain fame, interact with others and enjoy their lives. Whether you’re looking to become an influencer, sell clothes through Trendi or gather thousands of social media followers, there are plenty of ways to turn your teenage Sims into trendsetters. One of the first places to start, though, is the Social Bunny app! If you’re interested in learning more, continue reading to find a comprehensive guide on using the Social Bunny app in The Sims 4: High School Years.
How to Use the Social Bunny App in The Sims 4 High School Years
Social Bunny is a social media platform in the Sims world that allows your Sims to talk to each other. You can find the Social Bunny app by heading into your in-game phone and tapping on the pink bunny icon. From here, you can open Social Bunny and explore everything it has to offer!

Adding Friends and Sending Messages
When you first start using Social Bunny, you won’t have any friends in your contact list. Instead, you can manually add people through the Friends tab, where you can add people to your Contact List. Sometimes, in your feed, you may get requests from random Sims asking you to add them to your contact list.
If no one appears in your Contact List, head out into the world and start talking to some Sims! Anyone you’ve spoken to previously, including acquaintances, will appear on the list.
Once you add a few Sims to your contacts, you can start sending texts through the Messages tab. By sending messages to various Sims, you can increase (or decrease) your friendship, depending on the type you send. In other words, you can either be nice and send some friendly messages or show your cruelty through mean texts. You can also send flirty texts if you’d like. The world is your oyster here. Any text you send will influence your relationship with them, so be careful!
Adding New Posts
As your character lives their life and has new experiences, you’ll receive a notification in the corner of your screen, telling you many “Social Bunny-worthy things” happened to your Sim. Open the app and press New Post to send a message to everyone on your feed! As you do this, you’ll passively gain followers over time and find a mix of emoji-like reactions as a bonus. You can see these in your feed alongside any posts other Sims have made.

Building Friendships Using Social Bunny in The Sims 4: High School Years
While actively texting other Sims impacts your friendships directly, that isn’t the only way to make or lose friends. Occasionally, you may notice the green or red person symbol above your character’s head randomly, showing that your relationship with someone has changed. This is another effect of Social Bunny! Your relationships will fluctuate as other sims create posts and send you texts. Make sure to keep an eye on your messages and reply when you can to maintain your relations with others.
