Raids are some of the most important events in Pokemon GO, especially if you’re looking for some Legendenaries to add to your collection. But finding an active raid with enough members involved is easier said than done, regardless of whether you try in person or with a remote pass.
However, the remote raids did give us another way to take on raids in Pokemon GO with far more ease. Some sites have even come up with raid finders that let you seamlessly join a group nearly anywhere. We’ll cover how you can join these finders on your own and other tips for finding groups in GO.
Pokemon GO – How to Use a Raid Finder
In general, raid finders are third-party sites that allow Trainers to host or join different groups around the world. These sites work really well with Pokemon GO, but they are not directly related to Niantic in any way. That’s why the quality will change depending on the site you choose.
We recommend using the Leek Duck Raid NOW for a site that’s super easy to use and is full of Trainers at nearly all times. When you enter the site, the first step is to add your Pokemon GO username and your personal account level. Then you’ll need to go into your friends list on the game and tap add friend. In this section, you’ll find the friend code that you can copy and add to the Leek Duck Raid NOW finder.

After your temporary account is set up, you can head over to the main raid hosts section. You can filter out any active raid hosts, and as long as you meet the criteria, you can apply. Once you’re accepted into a lobby, copy the friend code of the host and add them as a friend. They should add you back and then you simply wait for the invite to the raid.
You can also host a raid yourself, which could save you some money if you try them in person. The unfortunate part of these finders is that you’ll need a remote raid pass each time you play. Discord is another great way to find local Trainers who can raid for free, but it isn’t the same as a finder.
