How to Use Eva’s Holiday Oven in Destiny 2 Dawning Event 2023

Some lovin' in the oven

The Dawning started just a couple of days ago, and it’s time for all of us to band together and dole out some galactic sweets. First thing’s first: we need something to cook them in. Here’s how to use Eva’s Holiday Oven in Destiny 2.

How to Get Eva’s Holiday Oven During the Dawning 2023

To get the oven, you’ll need to speak with Eva in the Tower to receive it. Then, check your Quests tab. There’s no special requirement to get the oven – just log in between now and January 2 and it’ll be in your Quests as an item you can use. See the image below for where to find it in your menu:

How to Use Eva’s Holiday Oven

To use the oven, right-click it to open a sub-menu. This is where you’ll place ingredients as well as Essence of Dawning. All cookies require two ingredients and between 10 – 15 Essence of Dawning, depending on if the oven is Masterworked.

Simply drop one common ingredient (found from certain enemies) and one rare ingredient (found from using certain weapons and abilities) into the oven to craft a cookie. Once you’ve crafted a cookie once, you can find it in your recipe list for future use.

How to Masterwork Eva’s Holiday Oven

To Masterwork the oven, and make it require less Essence of Dawning per cookie, you need to craft every cookie at least once. For a full list of recipes, check the article linked below:

If you played the Dawning last year, you’ll find that all the recipes are already available, and you’ll be able to Masterwork the oven right away.

I’d recommend Masterworking the oven first thing. This is going to save you an incredible amount of grinding since Essence of Dawning is almost always the limiting reagent on baking cookies. Since cookies are used for so many Dawning bounties (including the repeatable bounties which grant 10 Bright Dust for baking any cookie), you’ll be making a ton of them.
