How to Use a Stone Talus Heart in Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)

No Witcher found with these Hearts of Stone.

The first skirmish with the Battle Talus is over, and now you have a claim to the Stone Talus Heart on the ground as your final reward. However, figuring out how to make use of the heart in Tears of the Kingdom is confusing and may even lead some players to waste their reward.

When I fought the first Battle Talus near the Skyview Tower to the east of Central Hyrule, I was left scratching my head about how to use the Stone Talus Heart. The good news is I eventually figured it out, and though I might have wasted my own time, I can at least save yours. Here’s how to use a Stone Talus Heart in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – What to Do With a Stone Talus Heart

Fusing the Stone Talus Heart to another weapon is the best possible way to use the item and it even adds over 10 extra points in damage to any given weapon. These hearts can’t be stored or used in any traditional recipes within TotK. That makes using the reward a lot more difficult and you will have to think on the fly.

Although Fusing the Stone Talus Heart is the only practical use of the item in Tears of the Kingdom, there are still technically other interactions. The Ultrahand will work on the heart, and Link will be able to move the unique stone around, but that won’t lead to much. It only delays the inevitable need to fuse the heart to something else.

For those that don’t want the heart at all, that’s totally fine as well. Tears of the Kingdom is all about using different solutions and making different decisions. Just be aware that the Stone Talus Heart won’t be around forever, and if you want to make use of the fuse, make sure to complete it after the Battle Talus fight.
