We finally have it!

Honkai Star Rail Training Dummy Featured

For a game where every turn counts like Honkai: Star Rail, training an optimal rotation is essential if you’re willing to tackle the end-game challenges like Swarm Disaster or Memory of Chaos. And that’s where a training dummy comes into play, as it’s the perfect target for that.

How to Access the Training Dummy Battle in Honkai: Star Rail

You can unlock a special training battle after completing the Boulder Town Martial Exhibition event in Jarilo-VI’s Fight Club, located in Boulder Town. The event is permanently available through the Conventional Memoir, so you can access it indefinitely even if you weren’t around when it was first released. You must complete all seven stages with no specific cycle requirements.

You get the Fragmented Record of Belobog Ancient Martial Arts for your efforts. Reading it in your inventory reveals a special combination of moves you should perform in the lonely sandbag to the right side of the room. You can talk with that one instead of just inspecting.

Speak with it and it asks you to perform the correct sequence of moves. Quoting from the Fragmented Record, the sequence is:

  • Two uppercuts.
  • Two hooks.
  • Left hook, then right.
  • Left hook, then right.

And yeah, in case you didn’t notice (or aren’t old enough to hear about it), that’s the Konami Code right here. Performing the moves correctly will immediately put you in a battle against four Silvermane Lieutenants. They behave just like any other version and will eventually counter your attacks, so be careful.

While they’re not the most traditional training dummies, they’re perfect for testing out your damage output and rotation as they’re resistant enough to take your strongest hits. You also get your energy back to maximum whenever you use a Skill in this battle. Expect some damage showcases to be made here in the future.

You don’t get anything for beating them, so don’t bother if you’re not in the mood for that. But if you feel like putting those guards in their places, characters like Clara, Qingque or Argenti are perfect for the task. But since this is a training dummy we’re talking about, anything goes here. Especially those new characters you might’ve gotten in the current banners.
