Is the marksman rifle meta back?

Season 2 Reloaded has arrived in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, which means it’s time for a new weapon to unlock in whichever mode you prefer. This time, the new weapon is called the Tempus Torrent and it can be found in the marksman rifle class.

With the Tempus, we’re going back to one of the classic platforms; the M4. There is already an M4 battle rifle, which is the FTAC Recon, but this will be a beefed-up version of the weapon with 7.62 rounds. This guide will tell you exactly how you can unlock it in the Season 2 Reloaded update.

Any weapon that releases in the reloaded update will have three pathways to a full unlock. The main way that most players will earn the weapon is through a new challenge. Reloaded update weapons aren’t part of the Battle Pass tier system, so the challenge is the only way for many COD players.

The challenge to unlock the Tempus Torrent is to earn 25 Double Kills with Marksman Rifles. This can be done in Multiplayer, Warzone 2, or the DMZ mode. Of course, Multiplayer will be the easiest way to earn the weapon by far, but it’s going to cost you around $60 without a sale. You can also attempt to extract the weapon from the DMZ, whether it’s found as loot on a player or on the map. This will automatically unlock the weapon, and it’s free.

If you don’t mind spending money, and you don’t want to spend any time grinding, there will be a store bundle for the Tempus Torrent in COD MW2 and Warzone 2. When this bundle will release is uncertain. However, players can expect it within a few days of the Season 2 Reloaded update release.
