The Relic Tree was added to Cyberpunk 2077 shortly after Update 2.0 went live and brought Phantom Liberty into the game. There are a few fantastic perks linked to the new tree, but you need to unlock it first, and I’m here to help you gain access on your own V in Night City.

How to Get the Relic Tree in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0

To unlock the Relic Tree, you need to purchase the Phantom Liberty expansion and then speak to Songbird for the first time. Phantom Liberty is the first and last major expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 and it’s separate from Update 2.0. Everything from 2.0 is free across the board, but Dogtown and the Phantom Liberty story are completely different.

Even after you purchase Phantom Liberty, your current save needs to be far enough in the main story. I was able to start the expansion by completing the Pacifica section of Act 2, which forces you to reach the Blackwall and deal with the Voodoo Boys. Once you complete that section, you’ll get a phone call from Songbird.

She needs you to head to Dogtown and find her outside the stadium. When you arrive at the marked location, you must get by the guards. I have no patience, and I took out every single hostile outside the stadium entrance. Then I went to the right side of the entrance where Songbird awaited me and hacked my Relic.

During this conversation, you can access the Relic Tree in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0. Songbird will expand what the Relic can do and even provide you with a few Relic points to get started. Then, you need to find more points throughout Dogtown.

The good news is we have a guide for all the Militech Data Terminal locations in Cyberpunk 2077.
