Overwatch 2 brings new heroes, maps, and cosmetics for players to enjoy. With its first season of content, players can obtain the brand new playable hero Kiriko. Unlike in the original Overwatch, players won’t have immediate access to the new hero, and will have to unlock her. Here is how to unlock Kiriko in Overwatch 2.
How to Unlock Kiriko in Overwatch 2
In order to unlock Kiriko in Overwatch 2, you’ll need to either purchase the battle pass for $10 or unlock her on the free track.
If you purchase the battle pass, you gain instant access to Kiriko, the newest support hero in Overwatch 2. If you choose to try and unlock her on the free track, you’ll need to reach level 55. This will take a lot of time, as the battle pass is 80 tiers, and you level up rather slowly through it.

You’ll need to grind out your daily and weekly challenges to help expedite the process, but you won’t have access to Kiriko until you hit that 55 mark.
If you happened to miss out on Season One of Overwatch 2, you could still unlock Kiriko through unique in-game challenges that haven’t been announced yet. So if you don’t play at launch, don’t be discouraged. There will always be a free way to obtain heroes, even if you miss the season they were introduced. You can also purchase any heroes from the shop directly after the season ends.
From the official blog post from Blizzard:
“Players who own the original Overwatch will also receive Kiriko through their Founder’s Pack, which needs to be redeemed by logging in before the end of Season Two.”
