Use the Chocobo Carriage at any ranch to travel between regions in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Before Chapter 4, there is no need for the carriage, so you won’t find it in the Grasslands until later. Once you reach the Junon Region, you must unlock the Chocobo Carriage at Gabe’s Ranch. You can find his ranch northwest of the Mythril Mines directly after completing Chapter 3 in the main story. He will help you get a new mount for the area and is the first step to a carriage.

Gabe gives you the “Stuck in a Rut” quest that continues after you catch Belle near his Ranch. Gabe’s carriages are broken, and he needs them repaired by the Wainwright. He is located in a hut to the east of the Ranch, and you need a Chocobo to reach it. Once you arrive, he tells Cloud and the party that driftwood is required to make the new parts. Three driftwood pieces are scattered around the northern part of the Junon Region.

After you find all three, head back to the Wainwright, and he will build the carriage parts that you need. Pack those up and travel over to Gabe’s Ranch. He will gladly take the new parts and open the Chocobo Carriage service. Speak to the Ranch Hand at the front gate, and a menu will appear. You can pick any region that you have previously visited to return to in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

If you head back to the Grasslands, don’t forget to unlock Thorin’s Card Shop.
