Trading can be done in Manor Lords by first building a Trading Post in your settlement. It can be found under the Trading tab of the Construction menu and will cost four timber to build. You will also need to assign a family to the building before trading can happen.

Players can use the Trading Post to trade items under Commodities, Construction, Crops, Food, Materials, and Military. Each item is initially set to No Trade and must be marked as Import, Export, and Full Trade before trading can happen. Import means buying, Export means selling, and Full Trade is both buying and selling the particular item.

Use the plus and minus buttons next to the item name and inventory to determine the Desired Surplus, or how much of an item you would like to always have in stock. Set a higher name and select Import to buy the item at the trading price, or set the number lower than your inventory and select Export to sell.

Players can also pay to establish a Trade Route for dedicated traveling merchants to regularly visit and trade a specific item. However, players will need to build their Trading Post on a road for the feature to work.

The Livestock Trading Post only has a limited number of Stable Space and Pasture Space to hold the animals. Players will have to clear space to make pasture and Sheep Farms to hold any surplus.
