How to start the Radahn Festival and enter Redmane Castle in Elden Ring

Elden Ring players who are looking to start the Radahn Festival will have a couple of steps that they need to take. The Radahn Festival is when Radahn’s followers call forth all who wish to die in glorious combat. The idea is that someday a powerful enough warrior will be able to take down Radahn, who longs for death and freedom from the Scarlet Rot that eats away at his body.

Interestingly, the Radahn Festival will only start after a very specific mechanic has been activated, the Grand Lift of Dectus. This lift can be found in the northern part of Liurnia of the Lakes, but players will need two items to activate it.

  • Dectus Medallion (right) – this can be found in Fort Faroth in Caelid.
  • Dectus Medallion (left) – this can be found in Fort Height along the eastern edge of Mistwood in Limgrave.

When you have both pieces, you can bring them to the Grand Lift of Dectus and activate it with them. Doing so will also activate the teleporters near the Impassable Greatbridge Site of Grace.

Activate the teleport to get sent into Redmane Castle. Now, all you need to do is walk through the castle until you come to a crown that has gathered. Some will be real people, while some will be ghostly. Speak with the NPC at the top of the nearby platform to begin the Radahn Festival, and prepare to fight the demigod in question.
