How to Start The Indigo Disk DLC in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To start The Indigo Disk DLC in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll need to receive a phone call from Director Clavell on your Rotom Phone. Either start up your game, or continue playing after you’ve completed the game’s main story and The Teal Mask.

The game will stop when you receive the call from Director Clavell, so you don’t have to worry about not answering. During the phone call, Clavell will tell you about how you’ve been chosen as an exchange student to visit Blueberry Academy.

Director Clavell instructs you to go to his office, so make your way to the academy. Upon entering the academy, you immediately meet Blueberry Academy’s Director Cyrano. Read through the dialogue between Cyrano and Clavell.

After Clavell takes his leave, speak to Cyrano again. He’ll ask if you’re ready to go to Blueberry Academy. Say “Yes” to officially begin The Indigo Disk.

What are the Requirements for Starting The Indigo Disk?

Before you can be selected as an exchange student for Blueberry Academy, you’ll need to have beat the main story of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as well as beat the story of The Teal Mask DLC. If you haven’t completed both storylines, you will not receive the phone call from Director Clavell.

And while it’s not a strict requirement, you may want to make sure you have a Pokemon team of an appropriate level to tackle The Indigo Disk’s many challenges before you get to Blueberry Academy. The Indigo Disk serves as proper end-game content to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and most battles you’ll face are of a rather high level between 65-85. So we recommend having a team of Pokemon that are all at least level 70 before travelling to Blueberry Academy.

There aren’t any other requirements to starting The Indigo Disk, but there are some things you can do to make your time in Blueberry Academy a bit easier. Check out our five recommended things to do in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet before tackling The Indigo Disk to help prepare for the second chapter of DLC.

How to Travel Between Paldea and the Blueberry Academy

Once you leave Paldea and get to Blueberry Academy, you’ll have access to the new region’s map alongside Paldea and Kitakami. You can switch between maps by pressing the L and R buttons while on the Map screen. Once you’re on the map you want, you can access any unlocked Fly points and travel back to Paldea and Kitakami. Similarly, after you’ve left, you can get back to Blueberry Academy by accessing its Fly points on the Blueberry Academy map.

That’s all we have for getting to Blueberry Academy in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and starting your Indigo Disk adventure. But with the new Indigo Disk DLC, comes a new Style Card, which you may want to find out how to use to become as fashionable as possible.
