How to Fix Tools in Palworld

To fix your tools in Palworld, you’ll first want to place down a Repair Bench using the building menu. Once it’s in place and built, walk up and hit “F” to access “Item Management.” From here, you can select the weapon, armor, or shield that requires repair and, if you accept the cost, hit “Repair” in the bottom right of the menu. It doesn’t physically show the item being repaired, however. You may need to close out the screen for the repair to take effect.

Some items in the game require additional resources. For example, if you want to repair a bow, you’ll also need fiber on top of the usual wood and stone. For certain armors, you require cloth and/or ingots.

Should You Fix Tools or Craft New Ones?

Certain survival games in the genre include a repair mechanic similar to Palworld but don’t utilize it very well. I’d go so far as to say it’s useless in some cases. Instead, I would craft a new set of tools, wasting a handful of resources, rather than spend time repairing.

But in Palworld, it’s more cost-effective to repair your tools. There is no reduction in efficiency for repairing; they won’t inevitably break once and for all, and it’s usually relatively cheap to repair. You can use one stone and wood to fix your axe at a repair bench. So yeah, you should fix your tools instead of crafting new ones in Palworld.
