Gold doesn’t seem too important in Diablo 4 before you reach World Tier 3, but you eventually need as much as you can get to start altering your gear. Luckily there are a couple of ways to start quickly filling your coin purse and I’m here to show you how.

How to Farm Gold in Diablo 4 Season 3

The best way to farm gold is to complete Grim Favors and open Whisper Caches from the Tree of Whispers. These small cache rewards from the tree in Hawezar are the best use of time for currency once you reach World Tier 4, and you can even earn some additional resources on the side. With Seasonal content, earning the rewards gets even easier.

At least 10 Grim Favors are needed to unlock a Whisper Cache. Favors are earned by completing activities highlighted in red around Sanctuary. They each have a timer and are restricted to specific zones until the timer is up. During Season 3, this is even easier with Arcane Tremors. Finding worthwhile activities and providing enough Grim Favors are always readily available with the constructs.

Earning Gold Fast in Diablo 4:

  • Complete Grim Favors for Whisper Cache Rewards.
  • Complete Nightmare Vaults in Season 3.

While the Season of the Construct is live, completing Vaults of any kind is another fantastic way to farm gold in Diablo 4. Every Vault is full of chests that drop thousands upon thousands of gold, and the final Wardwoven Chests are even better than the caches. Once you can run Nightmare Vaults in World Tier 3 and World Tier 4, the gold starts pouring in.

Of course, you can always sell your extra armor drops if you no longer need the materials. These also net a decent price from vendors, but I don’t recommend getting rid of extra resources if you don’t need to.

Once you have enough gold, start gearing up and get ready to take down Malphas in Diablo 4.
