Before we get into exactly how to plant the orb, it’s good to understand where you’ll have to go. Once you’re done speaking to Merlin, head to Sunlit Plateau and travel south along the river edge. You’ll find a glowing pillar in the southern part of the area that leaks purple fog in a pool surrounding it. You want to plant the orb in front of this exact pillar.

Once you’re in front of the pillar, dig a hole into the ground using your Royal Shovel. You can then interact with it, much like a regular seed. Instead of picking a seed, though, you’ll choose the Orb of Nurturing. Plant it into the ground, water it, and wait until it matures.

You’ll want to return to the plant a few times a day and check up on it to see if it needs more water. Since this plant takes several real-world days to grow, don’t expect to hop on the following day and see it ready to harvest. Instead, you’ll have to wait at least three days, possibly longer if you forget to water the plant. Thankfully, since you got the Miracle Growth Elixir earlier in the quest, you won’t have to wait months.
