How to Pick Up Snowballs in GTA Online

War is finally over. Or at least we’ve got a ceasefire, so long as there’s snow on the ground. Put down the RPG, the AK-47, the lasers. Instead, pick up a snowball and immediately start pelting everyone within throwing distance with a nice compact orb of ice.

Here’s how to pick up snowballs in GTA Online.

While you’re strolling around the map, press left on the D-Pad if you’re on PlayStation or Xbox, or Q if you’re on PC. This will cause you to pick up the snow on the ground.

Each time you do this, you’ll get three snowballs, which you can see in your weapon wheel. You can hold a grand total of nine snowballs at any given time. You can then throw the snowball the same way you would any throwable weapon, like a grenade.

You can throw by pressing the aim button and then hitting the left on the D-Pad with the snowball equipped or by pressing G if you’re on PC. What a great way to celebrate the Christmas season. Instead of pelting pedestrians and your fellow players with Molotov, you can hit them in the face with a well-aimed snowball.

Worth noting is that snowballs also do damage. Albeit only a minimal amount. You’ll need three snowballs to kill a pedestrian and more than 10 to kill a player with full health. Hitting a pedestrian or player in the head with a snowball can knock them down. So aim carefully!

You can even smack the cops with a snowball or two without increasing your wanted level. However, keep it up long enough, and you’ll eventually earn that star.
