The Sims really does emulate real life, with menial tasks like paying the bills on top of fun activities that made the game popular in the first place. Even though it is just a game, ignoring the bills has its consequences. In The Sims 4, bills are delivered to you every week and there is a two-day grace period for being late. After those two days, your electricity is cut off. After two more days, they will cut off your water as well. The landlord will also commonly refuse to come to your aid if something is broken down in your unit. But, do not worry – nobody is going to come and take your possessions away in order to consolidate the debt that you’ve built up. This has been the case in the previous Sims games, but not in 4. Where to Pay Bills in The Sims 4
We’ll provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to pay the bills in Sims 4 below:
- You first need to pick up the bills from the mailbox. Even a child can pick them up, but won’t be able to pay for them.
- Once you look into the bills, you will see your total owed amount, and it’s possible to pay them right then and there (if the adult has picked them up, there will be a prompt to do so).
- The other two methods to pay for them are from your computer or a mobile phone – good luck doing that if your power has already been cut, though!
It is important to note that you should check if you have sufficient funds in your bank account to pay the bills in full before proceeding with the payment.
