How To Pass Time in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Summer breeze makes me feel fine.

The world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is very dynamic, with certain enemies and even certain questlines only beginning either in the dead of night or the early part of dawn. There are plenty of ways that you can pass some time in Dragon’s Dogma 2, some more pricey than others.

How To Progress The Day Forward in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The best way to progress time in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is by using a bench. If you encounter a bench like the one shown above on the map, you can have a seat and doze off. It may take you a couple of dozing sessions to finally get to where you’ll need to be, but if you’re short on cash and don’t need to heal, this is going to be a very effective option since benches are very plentiful.

Another option you’ll have is visiting a Tavern, which is shown on the map as a frothy glass of beer. Take a step in and speak with the bartender about a few different options, including the following:

  • Buying a Round
  • Talking
  • Pass Time

You’ll want to select the option to Pass Time here, and you’ll find that maybe you spent a little more time in the bar than you originally anticipated. It’s a very quick and easy way to get the time to zoom by without needing to spend a single coin — but it may not hurt to buy a round just for good measure.

The final option, and arguably the best option overall, is to sleep in an Inn. It’s going to cost you some Gold to make this happen, with each town fluctuating the price of a night at their fine establishments, but you’ll wake up refreshed and ready to tackle the day with your pawns at full health once again. If you’ve saved up the G and have purchased a house of your own, you can also pass the time here without having to continuously pay for a bed at the local inn.

That’s all there is to it, so no matter if you’re attempting to attend a masquerade or just want to explore the vast world at nighttime, follow these steps to bring the moon out to play.
