Fortnite is always giving players new challenges that they will need to complete. This can push forward strange of storyline, earn experience for your Battle Pass, and even earn set rewards just for competition. Some of the challenges can be very simple, such as marking weapon in the game.
How to mark weapons in Fortnite
Marking weapons is very simply to do. First, you need to find a weapon that is on the ground. This can either spawn as ground loot or fall from a chest after you search it. After that, you need to hover your cursor over the weapon itself. After that, hit the below buttons, depending on your platform:
- PC – Middle mouse button by default
- Console – left on the D-pad by default
This will cause a small bubble to pop up on the weapon that will show its rarity and type. The advantage to marking weapons is that if you are in a squad, your squadmates will be able to see exactly where the weapon is. As such, if you find a particularly good weapon that you don’t need, or drop something that you feel a squadmates would want, you can mark it for them and they will easily be able to find it.
