Though you set your character’s look at the start of the game in The Sims 4, there is a multitude of changes available throughout their life, including weight loss. Learn how to make your character lose weight in The Sims 4.
How Does Weight Work in The Sims 4?
In The Sims 4, weight mechanics are pretty similar to real life. If your Sim is consuming foods that are high in fat, sugar, and other unhealthy ingredients, there is a chance they will gain weight.
Every type of food in the game has its own number of calories. However, Sims lack a human metabolism, and these calories result in weight gain.

Don’t worry. It is not all bleak for your Sim and they won’t die from a heart attack or other obesity-related death. But if your Sim sits through the day eating unhealthy foods, they will quickly fall out of shape.
However, this can be easily rectified.
In contrast to the previous installment when Sims gained weight only if overeating, in this one, they will gain weight if not active.
To lose that excess weight, a Sim needs to exercise. Your best options are the treadmill and jogging. Just minutes of these activities will be beneficial for your character. Make sure they do this daily.
Push their limits, just like in real life, and it won’t take much time before you see results. Be aware that your Sim will gain weight even if they are eating a salad or other healthy food if they aren’t participating in daily training.
