One of the characters in Grymforge will ask you to dispose of the Scrying Eye in Baldur’s Gate 3, which we will cover in this guide. Read on below to learn how to destroy it.
How to Destroy the Scrying Eye in Baldur’s Gate 3
To destroy the Scrying Eye in Baldur’s Gate 3, you first need to approach it from behind and make it follow you without anyone noticing your presence in the area. If you fail to do it without remaining sneaky, all the enemies will become aggressive, resulting in the mission’s failure. If you are unaware of sneaking in the game, then you should learn how to sneak in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Once you approach the Scrying Eye, use the Hide action to make it follow you. Now, head towards the south from the Scrying Eye’s position, towards the lava at the end of the path. It is close to where the Defaced Statue of Shar is located. Once you cross the wooden planks towards the cliff, wait for the Scrying Eye to get to you. While facing towards the edge of the cliff, use the Shove action to throw it off and kill it.
Destroying the Scrying Eye is part of the “Blind the Absolute” side quest given by Elder Brithvar in Grymforge if you decide to side with him during the “Free True Soul Nere” quest. He will inform the Hero about a floating eye in the area and ask to dispose of it, and that too, without anyone noticing.
The Scrying Eye is immune to all types of damage other than “Thunder,” but players have reported that it also does no damage to the anomaly, even if the game says it is not immune to Thunder damage. That leaves us with the option to use the old and trusty Shoving method, which works almost on every type of enemy.
If you have Lae’zel or Halsim in your party, then both of these characters are strong enough to push it off the edge. It is the easiest and the only working method to destroy the Scrying Eye in Baldur’s Gate 3.
