How to Jump to the House in Rose Town in Super Mario RPG

When you get to Rose Town, you will find a man who cannot enter his home on the cliff face due to his child pressing the button which activates the staircase. He cannot jump high enough to get back to his house to rectify the situation and asks for your help to do so. Turns out you need his help too.

You won’t be able to directly jump up to the house no matter how hard you try. You need something taller to bounce off. In this case, you’re going to use the man. Jump onto him and use that additional height to jump up and enter the house. As long as he is standing close to the cliff near his house, you should have no problem making the leap of faith from his head to his home.

When you get inside the house, go up the staircase, and you will find his child wondering why his father hasn’t returned home yet. You will also find the green button in which you will have to press to lower the staircase for him to return. Simply touch it and it will activate, and you will have played your part in reuniting this family. Children, they can be trouble.

Super Mario RPG whilst being a rather linear gameplay experience, is still filled with a plethora of side content to keep you occupied. Such as obtaining all of the best equipment, including Mario’s Lazy Shell.
