When you first start a new life, there’s a chance an emoji will appear beside your character’s name. This emoji is your character’s special talent and gives various perks depending on which one you have. To gain a huge advantage early on, create a character with a basketball emoji beside their name, representing the Sports special talent. You can either pick this in the New Life menu if you have God Mode or continue rerolling until you get lucky!

Once you’ve created your sporty character, age up until your character turns eight years old. You’ll open up two options: Martial Arts and Walks. Both are under Mind and Body, which you’ll see in the Activities menu. Go for a walk and practice martial arts every year until your character turns 12.

After they turn 12, you’ll unlock the gym in the same menu. Add this to your yearly activities. By doing these three things each year, combined with your special talent, your athleticism will increase quickly.

High athleticism helps you join middle and secondary school sports teams, which readies your character for living the life of a professional athlete. Just make sure that, if you want to enter the professional sports industry, you join the school sports team to become eligible immediately after graduation. While it’s possible to join without doing it, it’s much harder if you skip this step.
