Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have brought multiple new mechanics to the game, but the most challenging (and fun!) is Tera Raiding. Trainers who played Sword and Shield may notice that it’s a battle similar to Gigantimax Raids, but I promise it’s totally different. Now the Pokemon wear funny hats!
But as you approach the crystal growths that litter Paldea, you might notice that only Pokemon with a certain level of stars are generating. Since Tera Raids can have between one to six Stars, how do you get those elusive, powerful Pokemon to spawn?
How to Increase Tera Raid Battle Stars in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Tera Raid Battles are directly connected to how much progress you’ve made in the game. And perhaps it’s The Pokemon Company’s favoritism for tradition showing, but it’s progress that you made through the Gym challenges that specifically cause Tera Raids to increase star rankings.
1 – 2 Star Tera Raids
To access 1 – 2 Star Tera Raids, you’ll need to complete the tutorial. Yes, that’s it. The moment you stroll out of your Academy the very first Tera Raid you join might be up to 2 stars.

4 Star Tera Raids
