Where To Find Wings of Icarus in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

The first major part of this quest is finding the Wings of Icarus. As an Epic-grade item, you’ll find it in a random loot chest — especially the Olympus Chests that are part of the new map layout. You can also eliminate an enemy that may have them, but if you’re going this route, don’t try to take them if you shoot them out of the sky. The item will be broken and unusable, so finding a fresh set of wings will be your best bet when it comes to completing this challenge. You may also find these items scattered throughout the Olympus portions of the map, or possibly at Restored Reels if you’re lucky.

How to Do a Dive Bomb Attack Using the Wings of Icarus in Fortnite

The first thing to do is get acquainted with the controls to avoid any major issues while trying to land a Dive Bomb attack on your foes. You’ll have the following abilities while using the Wings of Icarus:

  • Boost – L3/Right Trigger
  • Ascend – X/A
  • Dive Bomb – Left Trigger
  • Dodge Left – Left Bumper
  • Dodge Right – Right Bumper

One thing to note about the Wings of Icarus: it has a tremendous AOE, so you don’t need to worry about dropping directly on your opponent. You’ll still do some decent damage once you drop on them, even if you’re a few feet away. Just make sure that you’re ready to swap to your next weapon once this happens, since there is a cooldown period before you can use the wings again, much like the Thunderbolt of Zeus.

The higher in the air you are, the better chance you’ll have to hit someone with this attack. You only have a limited amount of room to aim, with more grace given to the downward aiming than aiming up. However, you can still hit them with the AOE attack and receive points toward your quest.
