How to Grow Windmill Wort in Botany Manor

Windmill Wort is the first plant that players will grow in the game, and thankfully all the ingredients and clues are in the same room of the conservatory you begin in. Players will not be able to leave until the plant has been grown.

Players can grab the following three clues to fill out the plant’s entry:

  • Temperature Chart – Poster of table chart on chalkboard
  • Wildflowers – Poster of flowers on chalkboard
  • Postcard – Postcard signed by Marianne on the table next to the heat vent

There will be a planting station on the left side of the room, where players will need to set up their Windmill Wort plant. Select the soil bag to dump soil into the pot, then choose the Windmill Wort drawer to place the seeds into the pot. Finally, select the watering can to water the plant.

Next to the planting station is a giant water heater with a crankable wheel and thermometer. Turn the wheel to the right until the marker on the thermometer reaches 60 degrees Celsius. This is the environmental temperature that will help the plant grow.

Grab the budding plant from the station and bring it to the heat vent on the table next to the postcard. Place the plant in front of the heat vent and press the button to turn it on. The vent will blow air on the plant and cause it to grow into a fully-fledged flower.

The heavy smog inside the conservatory will disappear and the doors opposite the planting station will be unlocked. Players can exit through those doors to a winding path leading to the mansion and complete Chapter 1.
