In Pax Dei, there are some resources you can craft that don’t have any use yet until you reach a certain point. Water seems like a vital resource and you get it very early into the game. However, its uses aren’t available yet. In this short guide, you’ll learn where to get Water and what you can use it for in Pax Dei.
Where to Get Water in Pax Dei
To get Water, you need to craft a Water Well. Using the Basic Carpenters Workbench, you need to craft a Wooden Winch to unlock the Water Well craft. Next, you’ll need 42 Gneiss, 3 Wooden Beams, and 12 Planks. Once you have those materials, you can craft and place a Water Well in your plot.
I suggest placing the Water Well outside your house or near your planned kitchen area. Once you have placed the Water Well, interact with it and choose the Water recipe. Just click on the craft button, and it’ll start crafting because it doesn’t need any resources to craft Water.
You can continue to craft as many as you want, but you can only queue at least 4 Water crafts at a time. Water only stacks up to 10 per inventory slot, so it doesn’t make sense to stockpile tons of Water in your storage. It only takes 30 seconds to craft one so it wouldn’t make sense to build more than one Water Well.
You can place a Decorated Chest near it so you can have a steady stockpile of Water in case you want to bulk-craft resources that use Water.
What is Water Used For?
Water is mostly used to craft ingredients for cooking or consumables. Most of the recipes are from the Basic Cooking Workbench and here’s a short list of things you can craft using Water:
- Small Cider
- Dandelion Herb Infusion
- Rye Dough
- Barley Water
- Shire Gold
- Barley Dough
- Blueberry Syrup
- Lora des Papes
Each recipe above only needs 5 Water per craft. These food and ingredients craft some of the strongest consumable buffs in Pax Dei, so it is crucial to craft some of these in case you are going to finish some difficult content, or you just plan on improving your stamina to farm resources more efficiently.
You also need Water to craft some other recipes from the Wine Barrel and other Winemaking and Brewing crafts.
