Warframe’s Abyss of Dagath update brings with it a ton of new content alongside some well-deserved reworks to companions and Hydroid. Perhaps this time Hydroid will be allowed to be relevant, but I won’t hold my breath. That aside, one of the new frames added is Dagath, though to get her, you’ll need a resource that has a very specific spawn location. Here’s how to get Vainthorn in Warframe.
Where to Farm Vainthorn in Warframe
To get Vainthorn, you’ll first need to get access to the Abyssal Zone node. To do this, head to the Syndicate kiosk within your Orbiter’s cockpit. You’ll need to select whichever Syndicate you’ve focused on the most and have the most Syndicate standing with. If you haven’t pledged yourself to a Syndicate yet, you’ll need to do so. Once in a Syndicate, make sure you’re Rank 2 and have 5,000 standing to spare. Once those requirements are met, select the View Offerings section for your Syndicate and purchase one Abyssal Beacon.
Once you have it, head to your Navigator and select the planet Ceres. Here, you’ll find a new node called the Abyssal Zone. Head into this node and kill all the required enemies, while locating a Defixio. This can be done in one of two ways. You can either explore the map and find one for yourself, or interact with one of the scared Tenno operatives to get a direct marker to a Defixio. The Defixio will emit some scared howls, so you should have no problem finding it. Upon picking it up, you’ll get a debuff that will last until you bring it to the extraction. Once you’ve completed the mission, you’ll be granted a certain amount of Vainthorn.
What is Vainthorn Used For?
Vainthorn is a new resource used in the Dagath’s Hollow Clan Dojo room. When interacting with the Shrine of Dagath, you’ll be able to purchase parts for both Dagath and the Dorrclave melee weapon. These cost those Vainthorns, so you better start farming them up if you want both.
