Pax Dei has several mineable deposits with different requirements. Some deposits only require a simple pickaxe, while others need a much stronger tool. Tin Deposits require these stronger tools, but even if you have the upgraded pickaxe, you might not even find them in the first place. Here’s a quick guide on where you can find those Tin Deposits and what you can do with these Tin Ores in Pax Dei.
Where to Find Tin Deposits in Pax Dei
Tin Deposits spawn closer to the center of the map. So, regardless of your starting area, you still need to adventure for a few minutes to get to the location. These Tin Deposits frequent the mountainous areas, which are areas on the map with hill symbols or drawings.
When you open the map, you’ll see a red line that separates the areas. Go past the red line and toward the closest mountainous area near the center of the map. Once you reach the area, look for any deposits to mine. Iron Deposits (non-pure), Tin Deposits, and Copper Deposits all spawn in these areas.
You’ll need to upgrade your initial pickaxe to the Iron Pickaxe to mine all these deposits. So, before venturing out, you should upgrade your tools first. Stronger enemies like wolves, bears, and corrupted enemies roam around the area, so it is best to get some better weapons and armor too.
If it is your first time going to this area, I suggest farming for Copper Ores and Iron Ores as well. Once you smelt all these minerals, you can unlock all the recipes altogether.
What is Tin Ore Used For?
Tin Ores unlocks Tin Ingots on the Furnace. These Tin Ingots also unlock the Bronze Ingot, where you need 20 Tin Ingots, 20 Copper Ingots, and 100 Charcoal to make 20 Bronze Ingots. Each craft takes 45 minutes to complete.
Apart from the Bronze Ingot craft, 20 Tin Ores and 30 Charcoals are required to craft 10 Tin Ingots, which take 45 minutes to craft as well. In short, you are going to need multiple Furnaces and Charcoal Kilns to keep up with the production of these materials.
You can build all these production builds, but you’ll still have problems getting all the basic resources like Sapwood (for Charcoal) and Ores. That’s a lot of grinding, so you should start farming in bulk to save some time.
