How to Get the Trickshot in Starfield

You don't need to land a trickshot to get this unique weapon!

Personally, I find that Starfield’s Magshot is one of the most satisfying weapons in the game, especially when you upgrade its damage using Ballistics and Pistol Certification. So, when I heard of a unique variation called Trickshot, I had to jump in my starship and venture across the galaxy to track it down. Thankfully, I didn’t have to travel far. Here is how to get the Trickshot in Starfield for yourself.

Tracking down Trickshot proved relatively simple when you realize it’s a key location in part of the UC Vanguard faction questline. You’ll head to planet Niira in the Narion System. It’s part of the “War Relics” quest and involves sifting through a mech scrapyard left behind from the Colony Wars. To say this place is incredible would be the understatement of the century.

You’ll need to boost or use the planet’s low gravity to jump on the backs of each abandoned mech, then search their husks for loot. It spawns randomly in one of these loot caches, so explore the area immediately to the right and down the staircase past the landing pad.

It’s a gamble as to which loot crate it will spawn inside, and I had to search through five until I found the right one in the center of the scrapyard. Just be wary of the various fauna and Elicptic Mercenaries roaming the grounds!

Trickshot Stats and Details

As I previously mentioned, Trickshot benefits from skill points placed into both Pistol Certification and Ballistics. It already does impressive damage per hit, but these two skills will bolster it further, making this mid-game weapon and end-game pistol in the right hands.

For now, consider its other stats, which are equally impressive:

  • Type: Ranged
  • Class: Ballistic
  • Damage Type: Physical
  • Damage: 110
  • Ammo: .43 MI Array
  • Mag Size: 6
  • Fire Rate: 34
  • Range: 30
  • Accuracy: 63.6%
  • Mass: 5.10
  • Value: 37,554
  • Mod Slot 1: Compensator
  • Mod Slot 2: Depleted Uranium Rounds
  • Mod Slot 3: Hair Trigger
  • Mod Slot 4: Magnetic Rails

I’ve tracked down a lot of unique weapons in Starfield, including Deadeye and Zapper, but nothing quite compares to Trickshot. Its power, accuracy, and impressive stock modifications make it a workhorse for any build!
