You can obtain Shar’s Spear of Evening after getting the Spear of Night during the Chosen of Shar quest line. After entering Thorm’s Mausoleum and finishing the Gauntlet of Shar, you’ll enter Shadowfell and meet Nightsong, who you must kill to get the Spear of Evening.

How to Reach Shadowfell in BG3

To reach Shadowfell, you’ll first have to finish the Gauntlet of Shar, including all its trials, and collect all four Umbral Gems. You must also travel to the Silent Library to get the Spear of Night before heading back to the area with the Pedestal of Reckoning. Place one gem into the altar before taking the nearby platform to the bottom level. You’ll find another ancient altar where you can place the other three gems.

Once you place the gems inside, enter the now-open corridor to find the Shadowfell Entrance. Enter this area after completing everything you wish to accomplish in the Shadow-Cursed Lands before venturing forward and meeting Nightsong.
